Meet Amanda!
Hello, I'm Amanda Dimas, and I've had the privilege of working in the hairdressing industry for nearly 20 years. My journey in this field has been an incredible one, filled with growth, learning, and a deep passion for what I do.
My hairdressing career began in a small salon located in the heart of Renmark. It was there that I completed three years of my apprenticeship. Interestingly, when the salon changed ownership, I went along with it. This unique experience allowed me to adapt to new challenges and continue honing my craft.
Eager to further my career and explore new opportunities, I made the decision to move to a larger salon in town. Here, I had the privilege of working alongside four other talented stylists. After three more years of hard work and dedication, I made the bold move of purchasing the salon myself.
At the peak of "Such Salon" in town, we boasted a team of five staff members, including a mix of experienced professionals and eager apprentices. I found immense joy in training and passing on everything I had learned over the years to the next generation of hairdressers.
Life took an exciting turn when I became pregnant with my first son. It was then that I decided to downsize and operate my salon from the comfort of my home. This allowed me to blend my two greatest loves: my family and my salon. Being able to be there for my children while continuing to do what I'm passionate about has been a rewarding experience.
Since that transition, I've welcomed another son into my life, and I continue to thrive in my salon work, particularly when my boys are at school. This journey has taught me the importance of balance and the fulfillment that comes from pursuing one's passions while nurturing a family.
